MPPT Disconnection

Hi Everyone,

I have a site with Solar PV, Li-ion Batteries, and a Genset. The system is operating well, with solar covering the (3kW DC & 1kW AC) loads while regularly charging the batteries.

However, when the batteries reach 98% SOC, the solar MPPTs shut down, causing the batteries to start a charge/discharge cycle every 2 minutes. As a result, the batteries take over the load instead of the solar system, even though the solar should have precedence—covering the load first, then charging the batteries, and once full, continuing to supply the load while calling on the batteries only if the demand exceeds solar capacity.

Could you please advise on how to ensure the system operates as expected? What parameters or connections should be adjusted?

Looking forward to your insights.

Notes:
The MPPTs are 250/100.
The inverter is 10kW MultiPlus.
The Absorption Voltage is 56.8V.
The Float Voltage is 56V.
The number of batteries is 15 (100Ah).

Thanks

Is this a measured load or an assumption load?

Do you have DVCC enabled?

Are all the components programmed the same way?

Thanks for your reply
kindly see the attached photo

We need a battery data sheet and a screenshot of the mppt settings.

How/where do you get SoC ?

If 56.8 is absorption voltage, 53.x cannot represent 96%

Hey Ludo
Kindly see the MPPTs parameters and the battery datasheet

The charge and float voltages in your system are way higher then in the battery specifications !
