Thanks for your feedback. I was thinking that it was different charge algorithm used for the battery charging, but in fact it’s always the same algorithm with different settings.
In fact, I would like to perform a constant current charge (CC) up to given battery voltage without any charge limitation (assuming that PV production is there), at Nomimal MPPT current. Then when the battery voltage is reached to switch to constant Voltage (CV) and to perform a taper -by decreasing the current up the 2A limitation.
I understand that Bulk and Absorption mode are respectively CC and CV modes, but if i set an absorption voltage of X volt, then the charger with limit the current when the battery voltage will reach 80% of X volt and not the required level.
I assume that if it’s the same behavior as CC/CV power supply.
So I probably have to set the charger at X volt + 3% or 5% to keen CC up to battery voltage reach X volt.
If I’m correct, would you please provide the % needed to reach X volt. If this % is not constant over the Battery voltage range, would you please provide the % vs Battery voltage for a 48V battery.
Also, I would appreciated, if you could provide link/document to perform custom charge algorithm.
