MP2 charging from grid even with zero charge current (ESS#6) set

Hello
I am looking for a way to prevent my MP-2 from charging the battery from the grid.
I have the problem that if the battery runs towards min-SoC (not 5% below, just min-SoC) it stops to discharge – as expected. But then suddenly the MP-2 starts to charge the battery, even so I set in Node-Red with the “ESS Control” Node in “Venus Settings” the “Charge current limit” to zero. The setting seams to be active as ESS#6 is shown in VRM.

But as visible in the image it still charges from the grid.

It is possible to prevent this with “ESS Control” → “MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50” → “Disable charge” but this also switches the MPPTs off.

Is there a way to switch off charging from grid effectively without switching off the MPPTs?

I tried many different settings in node red (even with custom access to d-bus elements) and these two seam the only effective ones (other than written in the documentation to ESS Mode 2 in the Manual).

Was having this discussion the other day. Will have to find the thread.

The only ways so far is to use ve config and disable the internal charger and set the charge current to zero.

Or use the charge current control assistant.

You can’t interact with either with node red. There is a way with modbus supposedly (there is a node in node red for modbus) but i haven’t had time to play with it yet.

Thanks.

I would like to have the ability to control this (as I also have PV inverters on the AC site),
Access to modbus or d-bus is not an big issue.
I will try to find the thread, but I only found Multiplus is charging from Grid where the solution also was “disable Charge” but this will as I said disable the DC site PV.
So If you know in which thread more can be found I will be grateful.
