MP-II, DESS, Cerbo GS // node red // disable charge from grid, only charge from AC-PV

Hi all,

if i use trade mode (works pretty good) it will charge the battery most of the time in the night to 100%.
this mean between 10:00- 15:00 the AC coupled PV’s deliver back to the grid becouse the battery is allready full. (i want to safe that energy)
i,m looking for an option to disable CHARGE BATT FROM GRID after 80 %, the first part i have in node red. so the last 20% can charge from the AC-PV
but can’t find a way to disable charge from grid only. if i complete disable charge it won’t charge from AC-PV…

The problem is they both charge through the same mechanism - the internal charger.
You will have to take a different approach which would be to change what you draw from grid instead.
This can be done by either setting 80% as your min soc so grid stoos there and then inching it slightly behind the soc till it bumps up to 100%.
Or disconnecting from grid and them reconnect when full to begin feedback.

what i do now on “sunny” days, i put the MP-II on charger only & switch off dynamic ess… thats all.
then it will charge with PV only (feed in AC PV is always disabled)
it will only charge hte battery, when the loads are more the de PV can deliver it get engey from the grid and charge go to idle.
most of the time when the sun is full energy is cheap

after de sun is gone i set MP-II to on & set dynamic ess on.

and then when te sun is gone i will empty my battery on the grid when the price is high (by DESS)

so i only switch two settings and it works fine, this must be possible by node-red ??
