Mounting Phoenix IP43 charger

The Phoenix IP43 smart charger says this about mounting
5.1. Mounting
The Smart IP43 Charger … c. Install the charger on a non-flammable substrate and ensure there are no heat-sensitive items in the immediate vicinity; it is normal for the charger to become hot during operation.

I connected this charger and it worked flawlessly just by following instructions. It does get hot, my thermo laser device says 135 F and my finger test indicates that is probably correct when I touched it.

My entire Victron system is mounted on plywood which is flammable. The unit has good space for airflow and is not close to other components. What is needed? Something between the IP43 mounting bracket and the plywood? I suppose many solar charge controllers are constructed the same way - namely the mounting bracket is a heatsink with notches for screws. Unless you are building on bricks or cinder blocks, almost everything is flammable.

I would appreciate some suggestions

60°C is well within safe temperatures for plywood, except releasing some gasses which can be toxic (see below).

As long as the space it’s mounted in is ventilated (so the heat generated can go somewhere) it should IMHO be no problem, my guess is that “do not mount on flammable material” is CYA in case someone manages to burn something down.

From Standards and burning indexes of fire-retardant plywood

Fire-resistant plywood can be used within a wide temperature range from -50 °C to +45 °C. If this material is used in a facility, where the parameters will exceed the recommended ones, then there is a risk of phenol emission which is toxic for people.
As for the ignition temperature, combustion starts at 270 °C in the open air, and at 350 - 400 °C in an enclosed space. As soon as the ignition source is eliminated, combustion will stop immediately.
