I have a low voltage, low current device that needs a momentary contact closure (eg normally open push button) to activate it. You close the contact for perhaps 1 second, and release.
Is there a way to do this using the switch panel in the Ekrano GX (Firmware 3.73) to activate a relay for a short period of time, other than tapping on/off?
If NODE RED can do this, I suppose I could learn it, but seems like this could be a simple thing to do.
Unfortunately, the relays on the GX itself can only be configured as “normally closed” or “normally open”.
To do that, you’d need to buy the IO Externder 150. That would allow you to set the relay to ‘moment’ mode. Then the output will only be switched on for as long as you hold the button down.
Plus, of course, you’d have even more switches and PWM dimmers at your disposal… for uses you haven’t even thought of yet
