Migrer de AGM vers LIFEPO4

Bonjour,

  • chargeur blue power 12V/30A 3 sorties
  • prise de quai 230V
  • génératrice ficher panda 8000i
  • deux alternateurs 1 sur chaque moteur
  • deux batteries moteur AGM 80Ah
  • 4 climatisateurs 390W 230V
J’aimerais passer au lithium, mais progressivement sans me ruiner.
Avez-vous des recommandations et des schémas à disposition?
    Merci

Hello,
I have a system on my boat with:

  • 5 x 120Ah AGM service batteries
  • 3 x MPPTs (1 x 100/50 and 2 x 100/30) with solar panels
  • 12V/3000Ah Phoenix inverter
  • 12V/100A Centaur charger
  • Victron GX connected to the BMV700, the Phoenix, the MPPTs, and the starter contact on the generator
  • 12V/30A Blue Power charger with 3 outlets
  • 230V shore power
  • 8000i Panda generator
  • 2 x alternators (1 on each engine)
  • 2 x 80Ah AGM engine batteries
  • 4 x 390W 230V air conditioners
I’d like to switch to lithium, but gradually without breaking the bank.
Do you have any recommendations or diagrams available?
    Thank you.

Switching the house bank from AGM to Lithium has to be an all at once step, due to the difference in chemistry.

Yes I understand that but what equipment should I change?

From the above list, it’s only the batteries that need changing.
All of the Victron equipment can be reconfigured to run with the Lithium batteries.
You may need to add a dc/dc converter - orion series, plenty of examples- to get the alternator to charge the house bank safely. 12V lithiums have pretty similar voltage specs to AGM’s - except that the low volt cut off is normally raised to about 12v. on the charge range, Lithiums top out at about 14 to 14.4V, rather than the 14.8 to 15V for lead.
You will be able to reconfigure most of this through the GX device, but a VE-Direct USB lead can be used with VE Connect to do the rest.
