This is my first post. So far, I have been able to solve all issues with the help of the community. Thank you very much for that.
However, I now have an issue for which I have no solution.
I converted the service battery on our sailboat to Smart LiFePo, with Cerbo, Lynx, and several sensors. We use Orion XS systems as charge boosters and an MP 12/3000-16-120A as an inverter. Everything is connected via Cerbo using VE-Bus, VE-CAN, and VE-Direct and works very well.
However, we now have another battery on board that we would like to monitor. Unfortunately, we have no way of connecting a voltage directly to the Cerbo and evaluating it. Unfortunately, a Smart Battery Sense is not recognized via Bluetooth.
Is there a converter that we could use to bring the voltage to the Cerbo and thus to the VRM portal?
With a cerbo you can only control 1 system. With a smart shunt you can measure separate starter battery voltage provided they share a negative pole. Are the batteries the same voltage and both connectod to the chassis? What are you using to monitor the SOC of the new smart lifepo battery?
I use a Lynx-BMS for the new smart lifepo battery, connected to the cerbo. The battery I would like to measure is a battery for a bow truster, same negative pol to the chassis, but 24V (2 batteries serial).
Adding a smartshunt (with VE direct cable, max 10m, no bluetooth) just for the battery should work, per the manual.
There is one caveat, when using the second shunt the data from that is visible in VRM overview but not on the cerbo screen. You can however go to devices and see the data that way.
