I have to SCS from Victron. The VE.Direct cable fits in fine on one of the SCS’s – on the 2nd one the receptacle is too far back for the VE.Direct cable to “click in” – it just drops out. The pictures show the difference, but it’s a very small fraction of an inch and enough to cause my DIY install to come to a screeching halt.
I have multiple cables and have tried both ends of every cable – same thing. So I assume the cables are manufactured to spec but the one of the two charge controllers was not since the receptacle is further back and none of the VE.Direct cables will stay in.
Anyone know a quick fix for this issue?

In the end I bought a pack of these cables to handle the misalignment.
They allowed me to connect to the port.
Still disappointed in Victron’s premium product having such a dopey flaw. Frankly the whole solar industry is like this. Mismatched everything, everywhere, so much so by the time you’re ready to flip it all on it’s a crafts project.
