LV HUB Pylontech

Hello,
I’m trying to get the Pylontech LV Hub up and running. I connected it according to the instructions at Victron & Pylontech UP2500, US2000(C/D), US3000, US3000C, US5000, US5000B, UF5000, Pelio-L, UP5000, Phantom-S, Force-L1 & L2 [Victron Energy] , but it didn’t work for me.

So I first tried connecting the LV Hub to see if it would show up in Cerbo (firmware
v3.72), where some Pylontech batteries are visible but aren’t connected to the Hub.

Do you know how to restart the Hub?
Can the Hub be updated via Cerbo? I tried, but it didn’t work—it threw an Error 4.

Not that I am aware of.
How many batteries do you have? You can daisy-chain a fair number of packs without one.

We want to integrate 20 batteries, including the US5000, US3000, and US2000 models, with more to come in the future.

So you can, depending on config, avoid using a hub.

I wanted to try that here too, but I didn’t get it—it’s not very clear. R000? Does that mean the pin should be 1000?

What kind of cable should be used for B/RS485?

Look at section 3

It states to use the supplied cable to link batteries and an a Victron type A CAN cable to the GX for these specific models.
There is a wiring diagram as well.

If you can avoid the hub my advice is to do so.

They are utter nightmares (speaking from experience). If you do get it working you will be visiting it like its your best friend so constantly restart etc the item and banks that are no longer being detected for no apparent reason what so ever.

[I have said many bad words standing in front of the device.]

That being said the manual is the least helpful thing.

The start up sequence matters as well. All stacks addressed correctly and connected to the hub. Mine for some reason would always throw a stack missing error when connecting anything to 3 so its has a weird combo on it.

I have one left in the field cant wait to get rid of it and the batteries.

I remember seeing around here a step by step outline of how to connect an LV hub. It appeared complex.
