Lithium upgrade

To facilitate longer boondocking capabilities, I am upgrading my Tab320 Boondock from 100ah lead-acid to a 300ah LiFePO4. The Tab came equipped with 100w solar on the roof connected to a Victron SmartSolar 75/15 charger. I have also purchased a 200w solar suitcase. I have two questions:

  • do i need to upgrade my 75/15 charger to charge the 300ah LiFePO4
  • what charger do need for the suitcase if i want to be able to have a 20-30ft cable to charge this battery?

The charger required depends on the panel specs. Victron made a nice website where you can find your panels and it will show you which charger you need to charge your new battery. Just start typing the panel type in the search box.

My gut feeling is you’ll be fine buying another 75/15, but confirm with the calculator.
