LiFePo on PWM-Pro 30A controller

Fellow Community Members,

I would like to know if the PWM-Pro will work with a 12v LiFePo battery? I have seen it work with the PWM-Lite but that controller lacks the ability to customize the float / absorption voltage settings. The Pro model does show that it supports those settings. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Why you want to use am pwm instead a mppt ?

Long story short the enclosure that we have to put this in will only accept the size of that controller. On our new enclosures where we have more room we are using the 30A MPPT controller and it is awesome. We have been using some Morningstar PWM but it is only 15A and we need a little more than that.

The problem ist when you use pwm you waste lot of energy 36v 15 a from solar are 12v v 15a.

You are absolutely correct. Unfortunately I am in a position where I have to use a PWM due to size constraints which is why I posted the question asking if that PWM-Pro could work with LiFePo batteries.

you can set user then you can set the battery parameters manually so Lifepo will work see the manual https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Manual-BlueSolar-PWM-Pro-setup-and-monitoring-software-EN.pdf
