These are clearly designed as drop in replacement for common lead-acid alarm panel batteries etc. They are marked as having 18650’s internally and clearly have their own charge / balance electronics.
I had planned to use a SmartSolar 100/20 to keep it charged from a small panel.
Obviously charge current will be set low at 2A (spec sheet says 2.4A max).
Am I alright to specify the LiFePO4 preset in the SmartSolar settings or is there a better custom option?
Every battery that gets sold with only 2 power prongs, like the battery you send has an internal BMS to protect the Lithium batteries. So in case of your victron having the wrong parameters the bms inside of the batterie should still protect your indiviual cells, naturally the optimal voltages change a bit, but I would argue that even the stock settings should be fine. Depending on your budget you could even go with a very cheap mppt controller(as long as the battery you are looking at has a bms)
4x 18650 cells full = 44.1 = 16.4V
3x 18650 cells full = 34.1 = 12.3V
Taking a better look at the battery you provided, they mention a voltage cutt off of 15V, This is only possible with 4s lifepo4 cells. The voltages I send earlier are Liion. Lifepo4 full is 3.6 and not 4.1
