Is the Multiplus case ground sufficient to ground the AC output of the unit in an RV? Would the case ground be sufficient, or should the AC panel also be grounded? This would be in USA (Florida). There is a lot of conflicting info out there. I understand there are multiple ways to ground, and that they are dependent on local laws and regulations. ABYC says ground both, Victron diagrams do not show the ac and DC with common ground accept the case ground. Wiring unlimited makes it sound like case ground is sufficient. What am I missing here?
The Multiplus case ground is internally connected to the AC ground, but NOT to the battery (either pole). For an RV, there should be a bonding wire from the case ground to the AC panel ground for completeness. This ensures against accidental disconnection. This stud can also be used for a local ground stake, or power post ground bonding wire if used.
