Changing the names of the Relay1&2 in device switches within the console does not reflect in VRM dashboard or the widgets for iOS and CarPlay .
Technically carplay isn’t a supported interface it has become available because of apple changes.
Ios also has a slow refresh rate so it may take some time for changes to reflect.
Carplay is hosted on the iOS device and as they don’t display on device widgets either, it’s more of an iOS issue
Indeed. Apple can be a PITA sometimes. As the market leader it gets all the good victron features first then that other feeble platform gets it later when it eventually catches up 
Does the widget never update?
I suspect that is new functionality and hasn’t been pulled through yet.
