Inverter inrush current with Victron Smart Battery Protect

Hi

Using a Victron Smart Battery Protect. Have a 2000W Projecta inverter.

Problem: Inverter inrush current triggers the SBP short circuit protection

Question:

  • Does the SBP remote port for controlling an inverter inhibit the short circuit protection for a few seconds?

If it does, I think I can make a system so the Victron SBP inverter control output can be used to turn on my inverter

Thank you
Andrew

NEVER connect an inverter to a BatteryProtect!

You can (or maybe already did) kill the BP with that.

The inverter is wired up direct to the battery.

Any solution for using an inverter without a ‘remote switch port’, so the SBP can turn the inverter on and off?
