Today, I noticed that the Cost and earnings calculation in VRM is incorrect for hours with negative energy prices. Below are screenshots of todays Energy and Cost and earnings tabs. For instance, from 15:00-16:00, the energy price was €-0.048, but the grid costs for that hour are shown as €0.17 instead of €-0.17. In addition, the battery costs are not included in the total. On the other hand, the grid costs for the 02:00-03:00 hour is correctly shown as €0.23, but also without including the battery costs. Strangely, the battery costs are included in the forecasted figures.
I’m running venus OS v3.54.
Hello, I have also noticed the same behavior. It seems that the sign of the energy price isn’t being handled correctly in the cost calculation.
e.g. legent “Grid usage” should be correctly displayed with sign to reflect direction of energy flow This is basic functionality. I hope that this could be corrected soon.
Supporting charts
Spot prices:
Calculated price for energy in euro (Grid earnings was zero, and Grid costs in euro was 0.43) is wrong it should be -0.43 euro (for 13:00 - 13:59 period) because Distributor is paying me for energy due negative prices
Calculated price for energy in euro (Grid costs in euro was 0.04) is correct here (for 20:00 - 20:59 period) because I must pay for energy

Greetings,
Incorrect grid costs and battery costs not included in the tooltip have been fixed.
Our apologies for any inconvenience these bugs have caused!
Kind regards,
Lucian from the VRM team
That is great news! Thanks.
Now that I have your attention, can I raise another (cosmetic) issue? It would be nice if currency amounts could always be displayed with a fixed number of fractional digits. Now, trailing zero fractional digits are dropped, so an amount of €1,20 is shown as €1,2 which looks a bit odd. This only affects the Battery costs and Grid costs, the Grid earnings and Total result do show trailing zeroes.
