How to limit battery discharge power/current via modbus

Hi,

is there any way of how to manage discharge power/current from battery?
My house is managed by Loxone. I have 3xMP-II, Pylontech batteries, Cerbo. Loxone Wallbox and I also use shared energy from my parent’s house and brothers house.

I have those 2 situations when I would like to manage the batteries discharge power/current:

  • when charging a car (not only from PV, but also from the grid), I would like to limit the battery power only for the amount of house consumption, so the car wouldn’t be charged from the batteries
  • when I would like to use the shared energy - I need to import the energy from the grid, not from the battery

I’m able to manage battery SOC, however, that’s not it.

Example

  • PV is making 5 kW
  • batteries are fully charged
  • house consuption is 2 kW
  • EV is plugged in and would like to charge it at full speed 11

In this case I would like to limit the battery power for 2 kW - only for the house.

Is that possible somehow? I didn’t find any usable modbus addresses. Perhaps I missed something.

The only addres which might be it is 2704 ESS max discharge current. Would that help?

Thanks a lot

Use the limit inverter power option.
You can find it through the normal interface under ESS.

Don’t forget also to move the grid input if you have restricted that as well if there is not enough PV power to cover loads as the rest must be pulled from grid.

Thanks for the fast reply.
I cannot use the “limit inverter power” because I would have to do that manually. I would like to be able to manage it via modbus, so I can create automation.

Luckily I don’t have any restrictions on grid input.

You can interface with most of the ‘manual’ settings’ in the gx with other control systems. I hadn’t looked at it outside of node red, but there wil be a way, since the setting exists.
