How to disable new frame in Venus OS v3.70

In Venus OS v3.70 a new frame was implemented. If screen resolution is sufficient it appears automatically. It is reducing important information and wasting space on screen.

Would be nice to know how to permanently disable this frame.

Add ?nomock to the url like so:
https://venus.local/gui-v2/?nomock

(yes it annoys me too  )

I noticed that in the beta but didn’t pay much attention to it.
Does the usable screen gets smaller when the frame appears or does it just add the frame?

It only seems to appear on larger screens and for me, doesn’t seem to affect the actual console size.

It does significantly reduce primary content. Here side-by-side compare.

?nomock / ?mock does remove the frame but does not recover original screen resolution, frame just appears black.

Let me test on my own system. Can only do tomorrow. Will then raise with the devs.

I will also take a closer look tomorrow, my test system is in my office.

@lefal32 could you maybe do a short screen recording?

It is /gui-v2/?nomock&fullscreen
mmm ?fullscreen seems to be enough.

is this on a PC / in a Browser?

just change the scaling with ctrl and your mouse wheel?

om my setup (chrome) , with 90% scaling i have the frame - gping to 100% its gone

i could even go to 175%, still everything visible

Can we get this as an option configurable directly in the settings? Entering it manually every single time is getting a bit tiring :slightly_smiling_face:

i don´t have to change anything here

Chrome ioens it will the old setting

For me the size of the usable “screen” size:

did you try just to zoom ? to complicated to do a video record now - but just - regardles of your windows size - hold the CTRL- in Germany Strg- button on your keyboard - the lower left - and then rotate your mouse scroll wheel?

The problem with V3.70 for me is on the Android tablet with the remote control app. The view wil not fill the screen.

I just increased the zoom and it is gone. Looks like Chrome remembers it as I got back and do not need to change it. Alas, those of us who have DC only systems looks like we are still stuck with useless icons, do NOT need the charger inverter:
