Hey everyone!
How can I achieve a SBU setup with the Multi RS? My use case is this:
-
During the day use solar to power the AC loads and to charge the batteries. The grid in AC IN should be completely disconnected, no feed-in, no charging batteries from it.
-
When the sun is gone, use the batteries to power the AC loads. The grid should still be completely disconnected, no feed-in, no charging the batteries from it.
-
When (if) batteries drop to 15% SOC during the night, only then use the grid to power the AC loads, but still no feed-in and no charging batteries from it.
Relevant settings in the Multi RS:
General → Mode: On
General → AC Input type: Grid
Grid → Grid code: None
ESS → Ess mode: Optimized without battery life
ESS → Minimum discharge SOC: 15%
ESS → Grid setpoint: 0W
The problem is that I still somehow pull from the grid during the day, even if it’s only a couple of Watts. I’m thinking of using the AC input control settings but wouldn’t those settings overlap with the ESS settings? If I set something like:
AC input control → Connect when SOC drops below: 15% (should this be 1% above ESS → Minimum discharge SOC??)
AC input control → Disconnect when SOC goes above: 20% (for example)
Would it work for my use case? Would those settings clash with the ESS → Minimum discharge SOC somehow?
Thanks!
