Looking to automate my battery charging using the ‘daily unscheduled’ off peak energy on the iGO tariff.
ONE THING I am NOT SURE OF IS IF my EV is sitting at 100% SOC and therefore my Hypervolt Home Pro 3 will not wake up to charge the car will Octopus still provide me with during the day scheduled off peak energy sessions.
Why I ask as previously when my car needed charged (obviously with this horrible weather it has not moved for a day or two) I got various off peak sessions. Recently their have been none.
BUT back to the BIG QUESTION Hardware for Home Assistant
Options seem to be a Mini PC or HA Green or HA Yellow OR even an old laptop.
Thoughts ideas please:-)
And I would like to understand the differences between a HA Green and the Yellow version and which would work best for me.
I am not as yet looking to automate my home but just sense the Octopus Off-peak energy sessions and use that energy to charge my BSS batteries, doubly so in the winter when I have little solar energy to minimise house loads and if in excess of the house loads to charge my BSS Batteries.
When I had a number of Off-peak sessions one day my batteries loved that
