GUI v2 Levels page -- tanks/environment readouts [feature request]

Two simple requests for the tanks/environment readings which would make them more usable:

  1. On the “tanks” tab, would it be possible to also see the “hot water” temperature reading as well as the tank levels (Fresh Water/Black Water/Diesel in my case)? Directly relevant to tanks, and probably the most common thing to check (to see if there’s enough hot water for a shower, or boiler needs turning on)

  2. On the “environment” tab, would it be possible to select which readings not to show? For example I have several RuuviTags for temperature sensing, but I never want to see the RH for these (hot water tank, electric cabinet).

I’m sure this has been asked before, but it might be a good idea to have a separate “feature requests” page on the forum.

It would also be nice if there was some acknowledgement from Victron staff that the request has been noticed.

Even better, a comment on the lines of “yes we’ll consider this, it’s easy to do” or “no chance, too difficult and/or too little demand”.

It might make posters think that Victron was actually listening to their requests… :wink:

Thanks for the feedback, this has been raised a couple of times before, see here for one:

Requests are welcome, but there are just too many to respond to, part of the reason our guidelines explain this isn’t a “ask Victron” site.
You may be lucky and get a response, but the community is not here for that purpose so we need to set the correct expectation.

For the most part, few requests aren’t already on the lengthy todo list, but it never hurts to ask.

It exists as “feature_request” although it is not easy to find (I stumbled on it after searching for “feature”) and apparently not available from the pull-down.

Maybe Victron can make the feature_request feature more visible…

Thanks to everyone for the replies – and to whoever added the “feature request” tag, which is indeed not easy to find. Guess what – I’ve added a “feature request” post asking if this tag can be made more obvious… :wink:
