Fogstar Battery Parameters Preventing DVCC working with MPPT

I am just looking for some support on my battery. Fogstar Drift Gen 2 300ah

I am using it within a Victron Cerbo System and it seems to have an intermittent problem.

Within the battery parameters the battery cycles between providing a CCL (when turned on with no chargers connected) to the Cerbo so DVCC works however most of the time it doesn’t resulting in DVCC not working and therefore the battery not charging via solar because the charge limit is 0 amps.

Has anyone experienced similar? I’ve spoken to fogstar who said DVCC will work as long as I’ve set the max charge current which I’ve told then it won’t because the battery isn’t supplying any charge parameters

I know the system works because if I disable DVCC the Mppt immediately kicks in and supplies the amps

Thanks,

The battery setting CCL to zero and not providing a CCL are two different things. CCL set to zero means the battery is requesting to not get charged. So the battery is either fully charged or needs to disbale charge temporarely due to a cell voltage getting high. It would be nice if the battery would gradually reduce CCL but most dont, they just switch between three or so different values

The ESS #3 is self explained… Bms has disabled charging.

The temps are also low there. Its reporting 8° C most lithiums around 5°C either really tail it down to 1a or so or disable charging.

Looks to be operating as normal from here.

At 13.29volts it is possible also the rebulk voltage for the battery has not been triggered yet.

Either way your battery does not want or need to be charged right now.

This will happen because the mppt will switch to internal logic (bms control removed) and its rebulk offset will be different to the bms setting.

The MPPT still shows as BMS control when I turn off DVCC.

As part of their trouble shooting I dropped the voltage down to 13.3 because they said that would kick in the MPPT but it didnt.

The battery parameter page constantly showing CCL = 0 regardless of charge level is what I think the issue is.

ESS#3 the MPPT will still show some watts if I turn off DVCC but with it on it wont so I think this is a red herring.

DVCC Off

MPPT showing BMS control.

Thank you
