Is it possible to have a Norwegian language translation implemented in venus-os?
I have translated the file and tested it on a couple of installations as far as I have been able to.

Adding new languages to the system is a one direction street. Once we add a new language, we cannot easily remove it. Leaving us stuck in maintaining and updating it.
Norwegian isn’t the largest of languages. I also know from experience of living in Norway for a while, that most Norwegians are fluent in English and are used to systems being in English.
The last few years we haven’t gotten much demand for Norwegian translations. While I don’t like to disappoint your, at the moment we aren’t considering adding it as part of Venus OS / Gui V2 / VRM / VictronConnect etc.
Sorry for that.
This is well justified and understandable.
Is it ok if I post the Norwegian translation for version 3.41 for download, so those who might want to use this or at least test it out?
I have worked a lot on this one, not as a direct translation but as a translation/explanation for those who are not so good at understanding English or the electrical system terminologies. Norwegian differs quite a lot from English in these terminologies, and is not straight forward with, for example, Google translate.
I’m also pretty sure that bug fixes need to be done in the translation.
Yes, of course you are allowed to post the translation files, together with instructions on how to use them.
If someone with a desire for the Norwegian language (Norsk Bokmål) is interested in testing this (3.41), you can download gui_nb.qm from the link below, and copy it to
/opt/victronenergy/gui/qml/lang/
and then add the line
MbOptionLang { description: "Norsk Bokmål"; value: "nb" },
(between lines 104 and 105) in
/opt/victronenergy/gui/qml/PageSettingsDisplay.qml
