Please consider adding the ability to show the remote console in-dash via CarPlay to the VRM app! It would be amazing to be able to pull up the remote console on the fly thru the vehicle dash without having to mess with the phone. Thanks!

This is a popular feature request, the developers have it in mind, but there are some significant roadblocks, specifically the limitations on what a CarPlay app is allowed to do.
The main thing is the app must be a meaningful driving activity; and no features that aren’t specific to that. This means it’s not an easy port of our existing apps, but something that needs to be carefully tailored to fit within the rules.
The good news is we have some ideas for this, but nothing that is ready to share yet, and certainly no CarPlay app any time soon.

Wouldn’t it be meaningful e.g. to turn on or off the booster, to protect battery, alternator etc. while driving? Or see the temperature from the Ruuvi Tag.
For me, it would be enough to see the v2 GUI overview. and FOR ME it would be meaningful

For safety, they don’t want apps to be distracting, hence the rules. I suppose the thinking is you should be concentrating on driving, and they haven’t considered that some vehicles actually rely on these types of systems.
That’s for sure, but there is also a co-driver, maybe they should think about this.
