It does look like this “waiting for sun” hang may be fixed in FW version 2.0 - I need to repeat to confirm, but after the latest update when I plugged in (house battery full and idle) the EVCS kicked in and did a charge in Auto, just as one would expect it to. Nice!
Yes, there were some situations where “waiting for sun” state was possible with full battery and no pv production. That should be solved in 2.0

Please make the settings to allow EVCS to work in automatic mode during daytime and in scheduled mode during night and only if ac in is available
Now it requires manual change of mode from auto to scheduled
And since my evcs is connected to ac out 1 (critical load due to same is for internet router) in case of grid failure it will draw my battery at night.
So active schedule to be subject to ac in / city grid is present.
I think other users with grid failure will support this need as well unless their evcs on programmable ac out 2)
