The point is for the system to continue with partial grid connectivity, this can only happen safely by having earth relays activate - a certification requirement. So now you have partial grid connectivity where unit(s) require the relay open and others require it closed.
Hence no ESS.
That is why switch as a group exists - all or nothing.

Yep, we fully agree on that Nick, all or nothing.
Another thing is that 1 or 2 inverters do have to run “in phase” with only 2 or 1 grid phase available, mmm, not a good idea, therefore you have that bar in VE-config, there you can see what all 3 inverters together want to do with de grid, and when green, they switch the grid as a group.
