Error code: #18 - Charger over-current

Hi all. We have an ongoing alarm with our Victron:

Device: Solar Charger
Description: Error code: #18 - Charger over-current

It happened seven times in the last month, it usually triggers a little after midday but sometimes first thing in the morning, usually on one panel set but sometimes on both. It takes the rest of the day to clear. The firmware is up to date.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what is going wrong and how to fix it please? Our supplier has been unhelpful.

As ludo said, your specific system information and details are important.

Several possibilities or listed in the manual under error 18.

You would need to use your system advanced page to work out if any of them are the cause.

Can be manually cleared- procedure is outlined in the link above, hopefully you have the right switchgear in place to do so.
