Error #21 on MPPT smart solar

Hi

The app shows error #21 on one of my five MPPT.

  1. I have tried to change the MPPT to one i know works, same problem.

  2. I have change the solar panels to those which works on another MPPT, same problem.

  3. I have measured the voltage on the battery connection on the MPPT it shows 13,2 V at the same time the APP shows between 15 and 16 V.

  4. When I disconnect all cables from the MPPT and connect them again without the PV connected it show the battery voltage 13.2 V when i connect the PV the battery voltage goes up to 15-16 V.

  5. i have measured the cables between the solar panels and the MPPT and they seems to be good.

  6. The first time the problem showed up was when we reconnect the solar after some work on the wood deck on our boat.

What do I do to solve this problem?

Err 21 - Current sensor issue

The current measurement is out of range.

Disconnect all wires, and then reconnect all wires, to make restart the charger. Also, make sure the minus on the MPPT charge controller (PV minus/Battery minus) is not bypassing the charge controller.

This error will not auto-reset.

If the error remains, please contact your dealer, there might be a hardware defect.

From test 3) Above, this seems to indicate that the battery protection fuse of the MPPT might be blown, otherwise the battery current sensor might be burnt. Did you accidentally short the PV connection when reconnecting? that can cause this issue.
