Hi everyone, I am experiencing a persistent issue where my MPPTs completely ignore the DVCC Charge Current Limit (CCL) right after I stop an EV charging session via the VRM button. My System Setup: GX Device: Cerbo GX / Venus OS Solar Chargers: 1x MPPT RS 450/200, 1x MPPT 250/100, and 1x MPPT 150/45. EV Charger: Victron EV Charging Station (EVCS). Battery: System has NO managed/smart BMS (no CAN-bus communication) and NO ESS installed. Wiring: I recently migrated the solar chargers from VE.Can over to VE.Direct thinking it was a data bus collision issue, but the behavior remains identical. The Problem: In the GX menu under Settings → DVCC, I have the Maximum Charge Current manually set to 100A. While the car is plugged in and charging, everything works fine. When it is sunny outside and I manually stop the car from charging using the VRM dashboard button, the DVCC limit is instantly dropped/ignored. Instead of keeping the battery charge current at 100A, the actual charge current immediately spikes up to around 160A, then slightly drops and gets stuck/locked at 144A. It seems that stopping the EVCS session via VRM breaks the DVCC control loop, and Venus OS fails to enforce the global 100A restriction on the VE.Direct MPPTs, forcing them to fallback to their internal standalone algorithms. Since I don’t have a managed battery to constantly broadcast a CAN-bms CCL limit, the system fails to recover the user-defined DVCC limit. Has anyone encountered this firmware behavior when stopping an EVCS session? Is there a known workaround or a specific register refresh rate bug in Venus OS causing this? Any help or insights from the Victron staff or community would be highly appreciated! After aprx. 30min of running at 144A, current is going back to DVCC setup (I had no AC load during this event). There are no other communication errors or alerts. If I try to adjust DVCC current durin 144A timeframe, it doesn’t take effect. [Image 16-05-2026 at 11.43]

What is measuring the current in the graph?

Ok. Is that what is set as the battery monitor? In dvcc is anything else turned on like SCS or SVS? And you aren’t feeding back to grid?

Yes, the smartshunt is the battery monitor and SCS, SVS are on. I’m not connected to grid at all

Yes, all 3 MPPT’s are under external control and no BMS control.

[image] DVCC issue - 150A limit exceeded with multiple MPPTs DIY I checked again today and confirmed that the behavior occurs only when the water heater is on. With other loads, the charging current stays exactly at the DVCC limit. So I assume the behavior is induced by resistive load. You seem to have a similar issue to this person. Ignoring the battery current (for now), when the EV is charging to when it stops is the mppt producing the same amps and power?
