Hi All,
I’ve recently moved from SLA batteries to LIFEPO4 batteries, I was told to enable DVCC but that setting seems to be extremely wasteful, My batteries are charging to 100% and then when I came home at 6pm one night I noticed that the air con was running as I normally do to use the float solar energy to only notice that the batteries were low. I looked at my trends on Home Assistant as as soon as it hit 100% the solar panels turn off and hit 0, they stop providing power to the house to use solar. Is it really important to use DVCC as it seems like a very inefficient feature, its like it would rather use my diesel generator rather than use the remaining 4 hours of sunlight to cover the house and keep the batteries in EXTERNAL_CONTROL mode.
Thanks Daniel
