Disable wifi on EasySolar 2

Hi

How do I disable wifi? I was told by Victron staff it was possible (before purchase) and recently by Taylortops in archived forums who said go to Remote console, settings, wifi and disable there, but there is no “Off” there… so need another way please? thanks

You can disable the internal AP, don’t think you can stop the wifi itself.

You want to disable it how?
Physically, you can’t because the hardware module is connected inside permanently to the power supply.
Bar that, you still have 2 options:

  1. Don’t connect it to any wifi network. But it will still be in ready mode and scan for networks, consuming power.
  2. Disable the usb port/interface the wifi module is connected to. After a while, without being connected, the wifi module will enter sleep. But this will imply to dig into the Venus OS internals.
