That unit is roughly 19 years old if I can make out the serial sticker correctly, so manufactured well before mass consumer-grade LFP battery banks were really a thing - so it doesn’t have a lithium dipswitch setting.

I suppose you could try the Gel setting and hope for the best, that one looks relatively safe as far as the voltages that most drop-in LFP batteries will accept.

Thanks for your answer! I knew that this Multiplus must bei quite old. So i thought what u Said…but hoped for another answer
What do you think is the serial number?

And what could Go wrong If I usw the -Gel- Switch Position?

Thanks a Lot already!
Chris

The serial appears to start with 0638, which would indicate manufacture date of the 38th week of 2006, but it’s difficult to make out on the board there.

What could go wrong really depends on your batteries. As long as they’re drop-in with their own BMSs, and a reputable brand, you’ll likely be okay, but it’s a try at your own risk situation - you may want to discuss with your battery manufacturer before proceeding. The issue is just that LFP is a wildly different chemistry than any Pb battery, so charging an LFP battery with a Pb profile can cause problems. Gel Pb batteries generally need much gentler charging than any of the other Pb variants, thus why I’d think that would be the safest one to try.
