I am mounting a couple Victron components using the Victron DIN rail adapter and I am puzzled by the design. It is easy to click into the rail but removing the device once attached is extremely difficult; I am afraid to try and just pull it off for fear of breaking the clips. The way it is designed you can only press towards one of the rails in a single direction, and it is not possible to press it far enough to clear the other rail edge. I end up having to slide the device off the end which won’t work in the long run and defeats the purpose of the DIN rail mount. Any suggestions are welcome, I am sure I am just doing it wrong.
DIN rails are available in several sizes…
I have the correct size. It mounts properly through the mounting holes. It is the DIN rail attachment that is puzzling, not the attachment to the device. Both the attachment and the rail are 35mm, so that sizing is correct too.
