Hello,
I just moved from 3,50 release version to 3.70~9. Now the DESS is charging the battery at full load instead of selling anything to grid. In 3.50, DESS tried to keep the forecasted SOC, but in 3.70 ist seems it ties to fill the battery first and then as 100% SOC is will feed to the grid. Is this a bug or a feature? Or what change in setup am I missing?
System:
1 Multiplus II 5000 70 on L1 only
5 KWp DC Coupled
4 Pylontech 3500 Wh
1 Fronius Symo Gen 6 on L1,L2,L3, at ACIN1
5 kWp AC Coupled
Some stuff on ACOut (Heatpump etc)
Setup for PV feed in excess @ AC and DC
DESS setup for Tradeing
Regards,
Gerhard
Hi,
In 3.70~9, this morning a Issue has been reported, that DESS is not active after the upgrade-reboot.
So, your system is probably doing regular ESS right now, not DESS.
Rebooting the GX once again seems to fix that. If not, you can revert to the prior version, or go to the official release branchs latest version.
See:

There’s a screenshot attached how you could verify, if dess is currently active or not.
Hello,
Thanks for this insight, but double-checked and double rebooted, this was not the issue. For 3.50 the DESS used to sell a reasonable amount of the PV into grid, so that the SOC remained at the designated level. This is no longer true for 3.70~x, here the SOC goes up without any feed into the grid. Interestingly, this does not happen for all hous, but at some point it decides (at a full hour) to do so and feeds the battery with full load. Yesterday it even started to buy from grid for this purpose, so it doubled the PV with the help of the Multi.
