DESS feeds into grid instead of charging the battery!

@grua , because I think, it should become part of the original DESS implementation from Victron without any hack needed.

Yes it should, hope so too!

Hello.

My configuration works correctly since my last message. As a consequence, i try to reintroduce a selling Price Yesterday. And today, despite enough solar available and battery not fully charge DESS import energy from thé grid.

I will set back 0€ as a selling Price! It is so strange a behavior !

Hi, I am experiencing the exact same issue. Having a workaround is something, but is there any chance that this will be really fixed? Looks like that the implementation of DESS is simply flawed.

Hello Guys,

today I also experienced this issue. The DESS started ignoring the PV input that is generated by the AC coupled Microinverters in my back yard even though grid feed in is not allowed in the setting. It worked great for weeks without DESS activated.

I activated DESS recently after I finally got my DC coupled roof PV installed. It also seemed to work fine as long as PV input was lower than forecasted. Same effect as described here by others. As soon as the forecast is higher and the battery reaches some sort of internal forecasted SoC it starts to do wonky things.

I tried the “turn grid feed in restrictions off and on again” workaround which seemed to have temporarily solved the issue but this is not a proper way of dealing with this.

This should be a firmware fix in my opinion. PV Input should alway be prioritized when grid feed in is not allowed and the AC coupled PV is not more powerful than the MP2 charger circuit and also not limited by the BMS max charge current. None of which would apply to my system.

Cheers
