DESS not charging from Grid during low price (not even planning)

Hi,

Has anyone experienced the battery not charging from grid during low prices? It’s not even planned in the scheduler, I would have expected the negative price would have a high coefficient in the algorithm,
The installation it’s a fairly simple:
1 x 15KVA Multiplus II
1 x MPPT 250-100
3 x JK BMS batteries (320Ah)
1 x EM112 meter at the grid connection point
All loads are connected to the critical loads AC out1

On this occasion 04/08/25 11:00 no charging was planned so I ended up with scheduling the old fashion way from the ESS menu (and disabling DESS to activate)
On other occasions like 30/07/25 DESS would act pretty much like an ESS system letting the battery drain without any consideration of the prices,

There’s no payment received for any export at this location but surely if the prices are negative then it would be cheaper free,

The load and solar forecast seem to be accurate enough for this installation,

Any thoughts on what to check and apply for better performance?

Regards George

I do have exactly the same problem.
Are there any settings I can change to have DESS charging from the grid when SOC and price is low?

The DESS will only charge as much as the consumption forecast predicts and only for the period for which prices are available. In such situations, I usually set the minimum state of charge (SoC) high and then reduce it on days with high prices.
