Can the cyrix-ct batter combiner be forced to separate the two batteries, by connecting Terminal 85 to ground? Connecting 85 to 30 (the coach battery in my RV) will force a combine, so will connecting it to ground prevent combining and force a separation? This is how my previous Yandina combiner worked, but I don’t want to fry my new Cyrix with a foolish experiment.
I never tried that but I think nothing would happen.
Disconnecting the ground (86?) will disengage the Cyrix immediately.
Thank you; that idea gives me the option to force a separation. I am worried about prolonged overcharging on the RV battery bank if I leave the combiner in auto; these are AGM batteries and the van charging system is designed for ordinary lead acid.
