We recently purchased a Cerbo GX MK2 to work with our Victron BMV712 and Victron solar chargers. Is there a way to also monitor our 3 LifePo4 24v lithium batteries via the batteries Bluetooth connection with the Cerbo GX?
Not without extensively modding the operating system.
This is not natively supported, nor is it planned to be.
Some people have got that right but it is completely unsupported.
Have a dig around in the modifications section if you are prepared to go to that level of customisation.
Thank you.
Just run the system as an unmanaged battery with your bmv. Works well, plenty of people doing it that way.
i have 2 Battery banks, selfmade, EVE Batteries, Daly BMS
I have to say - yes they work, thanks to additional software like dbus-serialbattery
Bit with my experience with dbus-serialbattery, i don´t want to run them unmonitored
the older bank, cell voltages differ much when almost full
The problem with the BT connection is that important control data may not get through if radio interference occurs. This could become problematic during a subsequent emergency shutdown.
