It will work.
As per MPPT voltages, you can play with them and fine tune them for your needs.
Just don’t exceed the normal limits of a lead acid gel battery.
You won’t damage the inverter as long as you keep the voltage on its input withing the declared inverter limits.
The inverter doesn’t know from where that “energy” is coming… Battery or MPPT.
And Kirchhoff’s laws apply.
