Unfortunately, until alternator tech catches up with lithium batteries, it’s best to keep the starter battery an AGM type.
This is because, if the lithium stater battery disconnects due to over-voltage, then the Alternator can dump it’s load into it’s rectifier and regulator. This causes a big over voltage spike - can be up to 80V (rep), and usually cooks either the regulator or the rectifier or both - also anything else connected to the output.
So it’s also good practice to use a dc/dc converter to separate the lithium house batteries from the starter battery / alternator circuit.
Some smart regulators may be able to cope with lithium batteries as both starter and house, but these tend to need communication with BMS / GX control system.
Another thought is if you do go for lithium as a starter battery, do make sure it can handle the cranking current.
