I’m connecting my Cerbo to NMEA using the Victron cable, but as soon as it’s connected the Garmin boatswitch screen on my GPSMAP8412 flickers. Looks like a data/adres problem, but I have no idea how to fix this.
Hello @jvtwout , you may have to enter the “services” menu then VE.Can port menu and check for a clash of unique ID numbers by the “press to check” button. That may be a starting point as maybe two devices have the same ID.
Hi Trevor, thanks for your tip, but this didn’t solve the problem. The Cerbo gives OK, number is unique. Do you have any suggestions what to check next?
@jvtwout I’m sorry Jasper I have no further clues. My only other suggestion may be to connect the CerboGx to the Garmin screen via ethernet. It is quite simple to do and doesn’t use the NMEA2000 bus so no clash can occur. The ethernet connection provides a nice representation on the Garmin screen of Cerbo gathered information. This is not a solution of course to the problem raised but may give a way to have useful information on the Garmin screen by using another method.
Did you remove fuse from VE.CAN NMEA cable? It may be that power from Cerbo is causing problems. Read this:

Yes I did. Thanks for your anwser.
With support from Victron they’ve identified the problem. There was a PGN conflict caused by the Victron systems and the Garmin Boatswitch. By modifying the PGNs the problem is solved.
