Can I Use two different CAN Batteries

I’ve have a battery in a system and the manufacturer it’s not making more of this model, I’ve found another battery that has the same specs. Both are 16S LiFePo4, so, may I install the other battery on the other Can Port so I can check the state of both batteries in the VRM? I will install a SmartShunt to get a unificated SOC of both batteries. Thank you in advance.

yes. there is also a bms integration service fr adding battery totals.

I know there’s a system to make an integration. I prefer the smart shunt. Thank you for your answer, have you tested it by yourself?

No; I built my own BMS.
There are ohtrer posts on line about the battery agregator service, or you can just connect the 2 different BMS to the 2 different CAN ports.

I’ve found a thread about this. There’s a bug that gives the same ID to the two different batteries on the two different CAN BUS’es

I think that the ID’s can be modified in the Cerbo to distinguish between the 2 sets, but this has to be done manually. (VRM ID’s)
