BMV-712 settings AGM batteries

What are the best settings with (3) Victron Super Cycle AGM batteries 170ah each and a Centaur 12/100 charger?

Battery capacity 510Ah
Charged voltage 0.2V below the absorption voltage set on the Centuar
Tail current 2% o start with and see how it works vs the Centuar
Peukert coefficient 1.15
Charged efficiency 95%
Discharge floor 50%

Anything else, leave at the default setting.

Towards the bottom there is a setting around the SOC, set this to remember last value or words to that effect so if it loses power it remembers the SOC when it is reconnected.

Thanks! I was close. One more question. How do I evaluate the tail current setting?

V1 The speed of a jet on take off, at which there is no longer enough runway left to stop safely.

Partly it depends on your charger settings and partly how your batteries behave. I had a bank of the Victron AGM Telecom batteries, similar performance to the Super Cycle ones and I ended up with my BMV set at 1% tail current and the solar charger at 0.8% tail current. The charger has to have a lower tail current than your BMV as the charger has to stop absorption AFTER the BMV has synchronised to 100%. In terms of what tail current to use, the only way is to monitor what happens if you have a longer absorption, if the current falls to say 1.5% and goes no lower than your tail current settings have to be higher than this in both your charger and your BMV. So it is trial and error and as @Ludo says, gut feeling from experience.
