BMS 500 ng ATC and ATD not working

I have installed a system like shown in the picture (sorry for a messy diagram). The lead side is working as intended with the Cyrix CT.

And also all Bluetooth VRM everything is connected and visible as it should and no Error s

But the Litium side is not working. I guess it is the BMS wiring that is wrong to the battery protect and the Cyrix-li-ct ?

  • I attach 1 litium battery, in order to get SOC to 100% etc. (current SoC is 91%) Everything is booting up
  • No error messa ges
  • Updated to latest firmware on the BMS500 (since I did not get it to wo rk… )
  • Turn on the Inverter. (charge) Voltage into the Cyrix is 14.2V. out of the Cyrix is 13.0v i.e. it is OFF
  • BMS states “allowed to Charge = YES” Allowed to Discharge = YES"

Turn on the "S ERVICE "

  • Nothing…
  • Battery protect states " Disabled by REMO TE" 13.13v
  • I have a “dumb” shunt installed so I can track current co ming in/out

So Battery protect & Cyrix is not working as it should … What am I doing wro ng? All items are brand new except lead side and Inverter

Never connect a (big) inverter to a BatteryProtect!
You probably kill it. Read the manual!
(also the MultiPlus can push current through the BP in reverse which isn’t allowed)

The MultiPlus is controlled via the Cerbo GX.

The ATC and ATD contacts are dry,. that means you have to connect + to one side if you want to control the cyrix.

Hello Matthias, Thanks for a quick reply. Maybe me scheme is missleading. The “inverter” in the top part of the picture is “only” the service, it will pull energy from the system, so when you attach shorepower there is no voltage over the “out” BP terminal. The charging is the lower right part (apart from the MPPT that is after the BP and controlled by the Gerbo )where you have the Panda /generator & shore power, this is pushing energi into the lead batteries and then further into the Litium through the Cyrix-li. The cyrix-ct is separating the lead side thruster/start batteries. If I got it right my Multiplus is to old for cummunication with Gerbo since it is a 2011 with firmware version v125 (hardware outdated), that is partly why my intetion was to use a BP on the load-side and a Cyrix-li on the charge side controlled by the BMS. Any tips is very much appriciated if there is a better way. But for the ATD and ATC to work I used the below scheme from Victron for the BP (PIC 1) but also attached the GRD, should I but a jumper from 1 to 5 and use “+” from AUX instead? and re-connect terminal 6 to H on the BP?

For the Cyrix I assume I should link Port 85 to ATC terminal 4 and put a jumper between terminal 1 and 3 to get “+”?

This solved it …
