i have a brand new BlueSolar Charge Controller DUO LCD USB 12/24v 20A. Its connected to two brand new lead acid batteries which are charged (12.7 V on each). the output from the solar panel measures 18.3 v at the terminals on the controller. its not charging either battery. the LCD display is working and will cycle through b1 b2 showing their voltage but there is no reading for p (which I believe is the Panel voltage reading)when you get to that and no sign of either battery charging on the display. I connected everything in the right order, but I’ve disconnected it all, left it a while, reconnected with the same result. I think the controller is faulty but am I missing something? thanks in advance
Have you set the battery voltages in the charger ?
The manual writes that the automatic adjustment does not work for lthium batteries.
thanks but I am using lead acid batteries which is default setting for the controller. dont think I should need to set anything
If the display is not showing the pv voltage maybe you have a contact problem there, or you have +/- reversed ?
no its not reversed and the panel voltage at the terminals as measured on the controller is approx 18v. I think i’m going to send it back for replacement
