BETA: Connect your Electrical Vehicle to VRM

Hello,

I tried to activate the Dynamic ESS / EV integration on my installation.

The configuration process worked correctly up to the payment step, but the process failed there.

Since then, I get an “unknown error” when trying to link the installation.

In the browser I see the following error:

400 Bad Request

Installation ID (VRM ID): 812616

Thank you in advance for your help.

Kind regards,

Bjorn

Hi, just checking if someone from Victron can look into this.

My VRM ID is 812616.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Bjorn1 ,

Could you try re-linking your Tesla account?

Kind regards,

Lucian

Hi Lucian,

Thanks for your reply.

I already tried unlinking and re-linking my Tesla account multiple times, but the issue remains the same.

The activation process originally failed at the payment step.

Since then, I consistently get an “unknown error” when trying to link the installation, and in the browser console I see:

400 Bad Request on the vehicles API call.

This looks like the Dynamic ESS / EV integration is stuck in an incomplete / pending backend state after the failed payment.

Could you please check and reset the EV / Dynamic ESS subscription for my VRM account (VRM ID: 812616), so I can retry the activation?

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,

Bjorn

Hi @Bjorn1 ,

Your site has an active subscription for EV integration. I also see that your Tesla EVs have been linked to your site.

Have a nice day!

Kind regards,

Lucian

Hi,

how can I connect a second vehicle?*

Currently, I have one Mercedes vehicle (EQB) connected to VRM. When I try to add a second vehicle of the same brand (EQE), after selecting the brand in the integration, I am only offered the vehicle that is already connected, with no option to add another one.

Each vehicle is registered with Mercedes under a different email address.

Thank you.

Hi @JiriBroz ,

At the moment it is only possible to have one linked brand account per VRM account. This means that the vehicles either need to be on the same Mercedes account or have one VRM account for each Mercedes account.

Kind regards,

Lucian

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Do you plan the possibility to link multiple vehicles with different email addresses under a single brand?

Thank you for the update, it works now!

Kind regards,

Bjorn

What does a car /ChargingState display exactly? I have 1 car giving 250 and the other 0

250 is plugged in but not charging and 0 is off site

I’m trying to find an input node to show which car is plugged into the EVCS

Hello,

A few updates related to EV integration:

Update 1: Vehicles from Ford, Xpeng and Volvo can now be linked to VRM via the VRM BETA mobile app (available for iOS and Android). This, however, requires bluetooth communication between the car and the mobile device.

Update 2: Existing Volvo accounts and vehicles had to be unlinked in order to use a new vehicle data backend. The vehicles can now be re-linked using the VRM BETA mobile app.

Kind regards,
Lucian from the VRM team

Hi @JiriBroz ,

Currently, there is no plan to allow linking multiple vehicle accounts of the same brand to a single VRM account.

Kind regards,

Lucian

Hey!

I couldn’t connect my 2018 nissan leaf. The app is nissanconnect ev. I’m in Europe. Is the older nissan app not supported in Europe?

Maybe bit late during the developments, but anyway thought might be valuable to share.

Beside charging at the cheapest moment you could sell also the flexibility of the charging session towards the market.

Heared this podcast about it, about a white label company coupling a car but also selling the flexibility. Company discussed is Devtpower.

Ich habe einen BMW iX1 und ich komme gar nicht auf die weitere login Seite, sobald ich auf “link” drücke. Da passiert nichts

Hi @anttivaan ,

Nissan integration should work properly. This can can be done either through VRM in the browser or in the VRM BETA mobile app.

Kind regards,

Lucian

My Nissan Leaf is a 2018 model and uses the Nissan Connect EV app. I can’t log in to NissanConnect and Service (US). The NissanConnect Services (EU) app is too new for my car. Is it possible to get NissanConnect EV (EU) enabled?

I can’t log in, but the problem could also be on Nissan’s side. Changing the password doesn’t work in the Nissan app. I’ll try again when I get the password change done with Nissan, if Nissanconnect ev should also work for European users.

Hi Lucian,

I tried to re-link my Volvo EX30 as you describe but the link is gray not active.

The existing Volvo account was unlinked, the Car I have also deleted from devices, iOS bluetooth ON, phone connected to car infotaiment, but still the link is gray. Can someone help?

Anyone with Volvo (or Volvo EX30) can do it? Me not…

Hi @Frantisek ,

It looks like you are using VRM in the browser. For Volvo linking to work, you should use the VRM BETA mobile application.

Kind regards,

Lucian
