Battery cables matching lengths

I am installing 6 Victron smart lithium batteries 25.6v 200ah. They will be wired in 3 parallel sets of 2 giving me 48v 600ah. They will be connected to lynx class T power in units.
Because of the positioning of the equipment the power in units will be closer to the positive terminals of the batteries.
I understand that the negative sets of cables and the positive sets of cables must be the same length for the 3 parallel sets of batteries.
My question is do the positive and negative sets of cables have to be the same length? Can the negative sets of cables be longer than the positive sets of cables?

Thanks

Yes they can be different lengths.

It is the total length of the battery cables that must match so that the total cable resistance matches.
Different + and - are ok.
