Batteries are discharging even though the solar panels are producing power

Hi,

I would appreciate your advice on the issue below. My setup is:

*Quattro 48/10000/140-2X100

*48 2Volt 1000AH Ritar OPVZ

The solar panels should be charging the batteries, but according to the app, the batteries are discharging instead. It is also unclear where the power generated by the solar panels is being consumed.

How to fix these incorrect configurations

Thanks,

Khaled

Please add some photos or a wiring diagram.

Is that all?

First of all, the VRM status is “connecting”, so the data shown aren’t up to date.

Please only show screenshots when the data are up to date. In the current state, this could be an incomplete update, and the battery may have been charging at ~ 6kW for a while — you just can’t see it online. When things look this implausible, it helps to check the local displays.

Hi,

Thanks for reply , please find the attached photos, Hope it helps to track the issue, I assume the issue related to configurations

One important note if I restore the grid power , the batteries charges fine , this is only happened when the solar panels becomes the only power source for charging

How/Where is the shunt installed?

Hope these pictures shows how the BMV is connected

The shunt is this part:

It is connected to the BMV with a RJ12 cable.

For me it looks like the shunt is installed in reverse.

Agree with Matthias - the shunt is in backward.

Other question is where is the shunt getting power from? e.g. the red wire from the terminal on the shunt should be going to battery + through a small fuse. I see a red wire from the shunt, and is that the same red wire going to the battery bus bar ?
The convention is normally black = Negative, Red=Positive.

You might want to add some labels.
