Have a boat with a house bank of batteries (24V) and a Starter battery (12V). BMV 712 is reading the house bank voltage correctly, but reads the Auxiliary battery voltage incorrectly (too low). When measuring auxiliary batt with volt meter, reading is 13.2V, however BMV reads 12.5V. Both earths from the 12V and 24V systems are common(connected). Any ideas what might be causing this discrepancy in reading please?
Mike.
Make sure the BMV aux function is set to voltage in the settings, although I expect this is the case.
Check the small fuse holder, these sometimes get loose springs or oxidised or corroded contacts. While in there check all other connections. The fuse holder has been the cause of these problems in previous reports.
It definitely seems that the fuse holder is part of the issue here - thanks for that advice - will change it out.
